12 DRESSES OF CHRISTMAS LOOK 5: FB LIVE WITH DIA AND CO

On the 5th day of Christmas my fashion fairy gave to me....

Pleated leather skirt and Bird Shirt w. Dia & Co. FB live

On Monday, I had the pleasure of talking with Dia & Co on fashion how to handle family member during the holidays.
As I am doing "12 Dresses of Christmas" and Dia was doing "12 days of Dia", it was a great way to bring the two worlds together.

Along with our host Ashby, I was chatting next to some amazing women. The panel consist of Jessica Torres and Kayla who works for Dia. Also, artist Jonquel was drawing two winners of our FB live. How great is that?

For this event outfit I decided to wear an outfit ready to go from work to fun. I love this outfit because it worked perfect for my office but was able to work well on camera.

THE CURVY CON: DIA & CO FASHION SHOW

Plus-size beauties ruled the runway at theCURVYCon’s first-ever fashion show, a stylish celebration of body diversity. TheCURVYCon’s, body-positive convention was conceived by plus-size bloggers Chastity Garner and Cece Olisa, had its first fashion show in the three years since its start. The fashion show, hosted by plus-size style subscription service Dia & Co, featured designs by Rachel Roy, Rebel Wilson, Molly & Isadora, Nanette Lepore, and Girl With Curves, just to name a few.

Over 20 model including, Liza Golden, Precious Lee, and Marquita Pring hit the catwalk alongside WWE wrestler Nia Jax, and curvy YouTube vlogger Loey Lane.

This was my first plus size show of the season and I'm very happy to say it wasn't my last. The fashion on the runway was good and stylish but I wanted more.  Truthfully, I am use to more fashion forward clothing during fashion week but I do realize the purpose of this show was to highlight fashion designs that women would by able to purchase right now.   With that in mind, and the idea that their was a time that plus size fashion was not even available during fashion week, the show was great.

I thought the models did a very good job and was happy to see women of all different sizes, shape and ethnicity.

The Curvy Con was a two-day event September 8th to 9th in New York City was a bonanza of style, group workouts, and body-positive dialogue aimed to promote inclusivity in the fashion industry. If you missed it you can read up (and maybe see some photos) on yahoo style. Click Here

OOTD: Brunch with Friends in Dia & Co.

I love meeting up with friends.  I have to schedule in fun adult time with friends.  We all have such hectic lives that a schedule time to sit and catch up is needed.  Last Saturday in was a rainy day so we met at our dinner for food and booze.   I wanted a cool laid back outfit but I still had to make some heads turn. This outfit from Dia & Co came just in time.

Dia and Co is a subscription box company for women size 12-28.  You fill out a form tell them about your style and magically clothes show up at your door step.  Keep what you want send back what you don't like and thats it!!! Its like having a personal shopper and  stylist all in one.

I've had a thing for kimono cut jackets for some time.  Its the perfect length and weight for those spring turn summer days.  This one from the subscription box company Dia & Co.  Is a perfect for such days.  Its super light weight.  The print is just adorable. and its long enough to fit my very tall frame!!!

My stylist from Dia paired this with a navy top and blue jeans.  I really wish I could take credit for this outfit but I can not.  It was sent to me as is and I wore that way.

Even the clutch was sent to me!!!!
Great job Ashby (that's my stylist from Dia & Co.)

In all, it was a rainy day but it was fun to sit and converse with my friends.  I need more of these boozy brunches with friends.  How about you.  Let me know how you like to spend your Sunday with friends.
