OOTD: SPRING FLORAL & LACE

Something about floral and lace that always makes my day.  I don't know what it is but when I wear this lace top I end up having a really good time!!! There were so many laughs and giggles in between photos and I ended up having a good time and some really good shots. 

While shooting this outfit with my friend and photographer I realized why I loved this outfit so much. Its the perfect combination of sweet and sexy.  The lace top covers but is see through enough that I feel sexy in it. I could have easily worn this outfit with out the jacket but the cut of it is so great it skims over my body and creates a great silhouette.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!!

I HOPE DIED ALL YOUR EGGS AND MADE LOTS ON MONEY ON YOUR GROWN AND SEXY EASTER EGG HUNTS.  BUT MOSTLY, I HOPE THAT YOU ALL TOOK THE TIME OUT TO RECOGNIZE THE REAL MEANING ABOUT THIS HOLIDAY AND RECEIVED THE WORD OF GOD TODAY!!!

It was very warm in the city today and I feel like we experience a tornado (no confirmations just yet) but it was a very nice day (for those who like warm weather)

For me today also signifies the beginning of Spring.  Floral dress open toe shoes and thinner jackets is in all of our future. 

Today I wore my Old Navy floral dress.  This dress was so comfortable and easy to wear.  I paired with blue and pink accessories, shoes and jackets to complete the look.  Also, nothing says spring to me like my flamingo ear rings.  

It was a great day in Brooklyn and even though I don't like warm weather I do enjoy florals and light jackets.  I will take the good with the bad.

OOTD: RED WHITE AND BLUE FLORAL

HEY STYLISTAS!!!!

I know I know..its been a LONG time since I did an outfit post.
I can only say that grad school is a killer but that's still no excuse to not bring you guys the business!!!  I really miss sharing my style with you guys but I kept putting it off because school, my mini me, family/friends or sickness (will tell you about that later) kept getting in the way of creating bomb ass photos.  So I decided to make a date with my stylistas to give you guys some eye candy.

I got a room at the FAB Fairmont hotel in Brooklyn and and snapped some amazing photos in their lobby.  How perfect was this room for my outfit!!! Can I just say that I had some staff turning heads but what an amazing feeling to be back in front of the camera.

 The red what and blue print on print is just what I need to kick start spring 2017!!! I love everything about this print and the mixing and matching I will do with other things in my closet will extend the life of these for a very long time. .

Kept my accessories simple to accentuate the silver buttons of the shirt but had to break out my red heels and blue bag to tie the colors together.

Trust and believe I will try my best to not stay away so long.  But there's more to come.

VICTORIA BECKHAM X TARGET COLLECTION

Victoria Beckham brings her unique designs to a new collection for Target. This collaboration is inspired by the upbeat charm of her own line Victoria.   Victoria Beckham line, she celebrates the shared experiences between herself and her daughter. The result is a look that’s fashionable, yet free-spirited and timeless.

This collection is set to drop April 9.  The collection include women, children, toddler and plus women.  Here are a few items that will be available.

Victoria Beckham for Target includes more than 200 pieces featuring soft pastels, bright pops of color and charming spring prints. The collection has great scallop cut items as well as bright colors.  I'm excited for the black and white scallop pants suit (see below) and the drop hem pink dress.

The collection will be available April 9th.  If you plan on going to store please check you local Target to make sure they are carrying the collection in plus size at your store.  If your shopping online, good luck.  When collection drop they usually have a lot of problems online.  From my last target LillyxTaget experience let just make sure the cite doesn't crash like before.

FASHION REPORT: SPRING PLUS SIZE TRENDS FOR 2017

Spring is the the air!!! Every were you look around....

Okay...that was cheesy but you can see spring trying to come.  Now that the air is not so biting and the sun is shinning a bit longer our closets need to change from sweaters and overcoats to jackets and floral tops.  But what are the top trends of the season? What items do you need in your closet this spring to keep trendy?  Don't worry stylistas.  Here's a list of trends you'll love to add to your closet this Spring.

Its all about being on the waters in blues, white and stripes.  The nautical theme has made it way big time this Spring.  Boat leg pants, blue and white stripes, and navy trench coats are all apart of this nautical theme.  So, get on a boat with you navy blues and set sail into the summer.

"50 Shades of Yellow"
Yellow was named one of the Pantone color of Spring 2017 and rightfully so.  From highly saturated golden yellow to pale yellow, is all throughout retail and designer collections.  Rather its all over yellow or yellow in the print you can see that the sunshine color in every collection this season.   That's what we are craving.

"April Showers bring embroidered flowers"
 This 80's trend has made its way back into our closet and is a great way to inject spring into your closet this spring.  Instead of flower prints, we're seeing flowers embroidered.  From bags (as seen in my post on spring bags), jeans and jackets the flower embroiders is the new way to get your floral on this spring

Lane Bryant has come together with designer Prabal Gurung.  The 22pc collection was release today and can be bought in store or online.  Lane Bryant has once again partner with another designer to give women of all sizes a high end collection but at an affordable price. 

Prabal’s  has been added to Lane Bryant list of collaborators like Christian Siriano, Lela Rose, Sophie Theallet and Isabel Toledo. Prabal's collection, with super model Ashely Graham, is made up of a collection of minimalistic jumpsuits, full skirts and form fitting dresses paired with feminine flora's and bold color blocking creating sexy yet stylish pieces.
