#3 Fashion Must-Have for Men: Leather Jacket

The reason why I made this as the third fashion must-have for men is because men barely use cover-ups. If they do, it's either too big (which sometimes doesn't look good) or it doesn't match with their outfit.

A black, plain leather jacket, will match any top, any jeans/shorts, and any shoes. So there'll be no need for deciding whether it'll look good or not.

Also, a leather jackets gives you that bad boy/ badass look. Just throw in a pair of shades, loose pants, and dunks, and there you go.

For a cleaner yet still a tad badass, wear it with straight cut jeans, clean-look 'do, and sneakers.

This leather jacket is actually my first pair cause I realized it is a must have. Got this from Folded and Hung.

#2 Fashion Must-Haves for Men: Vneck shirts

The second piece/s of clothing in a man should have in his closet, for me, is a white and a black v-neck shirt. Though round neck shirts will also do and will always be “in”, v-neck shirts are more trendy and edgy, if you may.

Trivia: V-neck shirts create a slimming effect! So to the guys who feel a tad chubby, then go for v-neck shirts or v-cut tops.

Also, since we are taking about fashion must-haves for men, I suggest for you to go grab 2 v-neck shirts (a black and a white one - these are the must-haves) make sure you feel comfortable in those and I think it’ll be okay if it’ll be a bit pricey. Trust me, those white and black v-necks will be very, very useful in the long run!

1    1. It matches any bottom (shorts, jeans, jogging pants of any color)

2    2. Though it may seem plain because of the colors black and white, remember, the simpler the better.

3    3. If you feel like dressing up, you may put a polo, a cardigan, a jacket, a scarf, a vest or even a coat over it.

4    4. And I’m sure you can come up with more styles!

These (black and white) v-neck shirts you’ll buy will be very useful for a long time! I myself have around 5 black and 4 white vneck tops. Other colors like green, violet, gray, red, etc will be good if you want a more fashionable, fun, and young look!

Featured on Philippine Star w Tim Yap & winners

In line with one of my previous entry entitled, "Luncheon with Tim Yap & MEGAYAP4GRABS winners + Post new year outfit" https://circus-sin.blogspot.com/2013/01/luncheon-with-tim-yap-megayap4grabs.html , I decided to made a sequel from it. 

Last Saturday, January 13, 2013, SM Megamall (@smmegamall) tweeted about us being on the SUPREME page of The Philippine Star (@PhilippineStar , @PhilStarSUPREME) which Mr. Tim Yap (@officialTIMYAP) retweeted. 

One reason why I decided to blog about this is, it's not every day that you get to be featured in a national newspaper, well, at least for me I don't. A quick and brief recap from my previous entry, I was the DAY 6 winner of #MEGAYAP4GRABS (a 15k shopping spree in Oxygen) and SM Megamall + Tim Yap invited all of us winner for a luncheon earlier this year. I thought it was just gonna be a lunch where we'll eat, say hi hello to everyone, but I was proved wrong. I met, chatted, and laughed with all of the winners, even became close to some! Tim Yap also took the time to get to know every single one of us. He is a very kind, a really funny, and a stylish man! You wouldn't feel how big he is when he's with people. Since he also is an editor in the Philippine Star, we were featured! Woot! Woot! :)

I didn't just win a shopping spree. I've met one of the people I look up to in the industry and more importantly, I have met and gained new friends. :)

#1 Fashion Must-Haves for Men: Pants

Finally, I have been meaning to blog about menswear for a very long time now. Now, to all my male readers, get ready to have all the items you will be needing in your closets! Anyway, I would not want to prolong this anymore.

The #1 fashion must-haves for men, for me, are good pairs of pants. Investing on good pair/s of pants could pretty much go a long, long a way. (A trivia, my dad has this Levi's pants which he had almost 15 years ago which he still have until now) But which kinds of pants? Here are the top 3 pants on my list which you ought to have!


1. First, a good pair of straight cut denim jeans. Straight cut jeans never go out of style! It's truly a must-have.

These are from Bench. 

2. Second, a pair of slim cut jeans. 
These kinds of pants are "in" right now and they also never go out of style. 

One of my slim cut jeans came from Oxygen.

These pair of slim cut jeans are from Lee. 

3. Third, if you are up for a more modern and stylish look, then skinny jeans could be those pair of pants you're looking for. Slim cut jeans especially skinny jeans make your legs look leaner and longer. 

The light denim jeans are from Levi's and the darker one's from Uniqlo.

There you go! Your first fashion musthaves! Remember, a pair of branded jeans could be quite expensive but make sure if they are, they'll last for a long time.

Fashion Must-haves for MEN. Soon. + What to watch out for in my blog this year

Initially, this blog I made last year was supposed to be mainly about male fashion and my fashion styling portfolio & internships, and fashion events I attend to. But I wasn't able to fully cater to the gentlemen out there, since women are the ones who seem to consult me more. 

This year, it's gonna be different! Due to requests and suggestions, I will try to blog more about MENSWEAR or fashion for men. First on my list, fashion must-haves for men! Each entry will have at least one fashion must-have! (I hope to publish my first entry tomorrow) And, there will be a lot more entries for the must-have menswear. So better watch out!

Also, in the following months, like what I did to my good friend Mandy (in one of my blog entries), I will crash one of my friend's closet and style him up and help him with what to wear on such events or happenings! In short, helping how to style one's self.  

Gals, don't be worried. Rest assured, I will still blog about female fashion! 

LASTLY, I will finally have my blog professionally designed and programmed all for your comfort! So there is definitely a lot to watch out for in my blog! :)

AND, I have much more plans for my blog and for you my readers! I just don't want to preempt it! :)

Luncheon with Tim Yap & MEGAYAP4GRABS winners + Post new year outfit

As I have tweeted before, I was the Day 6 winner of SM Megamall's MEGAYAP4GRABS. I won the 15k shopping spree which I have shared to my family and gave away some of the items to you guys. Then, just last month, we were informed that we were gonna have a lunch with Tim Yap.

I decided to wear the polka dotted polo cause it's from Oxygen and the year has just started. So it's perfect to wear polka dots where no one can judge you. Emerald pants made the look balanced in terms of color (in contrast with the top) and fun socks to make it a little funky and fun (clearer photo below)
